Local legend, Broken Toy (aka Sad Paradise) one of South Africa’s longest standing psy-trance producers lands in Australia today for a three week tour.
The folks Down Under will be treated to a showcase of the talented producer’s numerous projects; from two sets of the eponymously named swing-house project, James Copeland, three sets from the ever-popular and iconic Broken Toy, as well as three sets from his latest offering, proggy Sad Paradise. At barely six months old, this is already Sad Paradise’s third overseas gig.
Says James: “I’ll also be playing special retro Nesono set for my faithful Aussie supporters.”
This will be the gifted producer’s third time in Australia. “I’m playing for Lost the Plot festival near Melbourne along with an all-star cast, and also at Monsters Ball for Artofficial entertainment near Coffs Harbour. Both will be splendid outdoor Aussie ‘bush doofs’. Plus I have two club gigs in Melbourne to round out the tour.”
“I’m looking forward to seeing all of the many good friends I’ve made there over the years,” says James. “And letting them show me the progression of the Aussie craft beer movement since my last trip!”
In addition you can also catch Sad Paradise’s latest releases: Bass Monkey remix on Echoes Records, and coming to you next month, Super Junkie, original, out on Iono Music.
For those who still have to be introduced to the man, need not look further than his set at Hadra Festival in France (see video).
