For the first time in SA, Heineken will open local music fans to the world of ultimate global music experiences with the exclusive debut shows of Heineken Star Club. The ultimate global music experiences, presented by #HeinekenLiveAccess, will take place this week at Expo Centre Nasrec in Johannesburg on Friday, 29 November, and at Shimmy Beach Club in Cape Town on Sunday, 1 December. Iconic house music DJ and producer, Kerri Chandler, and the renowned New-York City based DJ, Quentin Harris, will be in SA to wow music enthusiasts with their inventive ‘live’ sets that push the boundaries of millennium technology. The biggest house music event this year, brought to by Heineken, will feature some of the most respected figures in the South African house music scene – Ralf Gum, Jullian Gomes and Lulo Café.
A first for South Africa
For the first time ever South Africans will get to exclusively experience Chandler’s ‘theatre of music’ performance with him bringing his full production to our shores including the 3D holographic displays and his laser harp. Known as one of the most innovative DJs in the world, Chandler has been redefining music experiences for his audiences for more than two decades through manipulating sound and using new technology. Also an accomplished engineer and producer, Chandler elevates music events through a fusion of laser synths, 3D holographic displays and deejay spinning injected with soulful vocals, great beats, imaginative instruments and visual art through projector screens.
