MTV DJ Battle 2nd African Edition is here
Some of South Africa’s top DJs will be participating in the MTV DJ Battle at Carfax in Newtown, Johannesburg on Saturday the 27th of August 2016.
The MTV DJ Battle is all about testing the skills of some of SA’s most celebrated DJs. This second MTV DJ Battle is meant to offer what is being called an ove load of the senses.
How it works
Each DJ battle will feature two teams of three DJs each; they will be representing MTV and MTV Base. The two teams will be lined up against each other in a series of ‘deck-to-deck’ battles as they strive to out-mix, out-play and out-party each other.
Another aspect of the battle is known as the ‘Wild card’ challenges which will be thrown into the mix and the audience ultimately decides who ends up victorious.
The previous and first African edition of the MTV DJ Battle took place at Carfax in September last year. Vigilante, DJ Tira, and Zinhle were on the side of MTV Base and their opponents were Cndo, Shimza, and Kenzhero who were on the side of MTV.
For the second African edition Heavy K for MTV Base and Vigilante for MTV will be competing against each other.
