The album was released worldwide on the 8th of July through Sony Music Afrika and House Afrika Records.
Monique’s soulful and rhythmic voice is unmistakable in its quality and depth. Her song writing skills are powerful in the way that she tells stories. When you see her name featured on a track you are almost immediately convinced that the song is a gem.
She recently released the video for Elevator (Going Up) which is single number four on the Monique Bingham Best of the Last album.
She is strongly supported in South Africa by an unwavering fan base. Before the worldwide release of her special quarter century album, it was exclusively available in South Africa on iTunes or in local stores.
South Africa is her second home
South Africa is her second home and our scene has created a community of house music lovers uncontested anywhere else. South Africa is the largest global consumer of house music, and it is here that Bingham reigns supreme. As much she inspires and influences others in house music in SA, local house music inspires her creativity too.
The first tribute to the SA house scene she did was with the brilliant single Take Me to My Love and 2014’s The Pap produced by Germany’s Ralf Gum.
