Mi Casa seeks DJ / Producer to enlarge la familia for their next track.
Mi Casa is a soulfully electrifying house band from Johannesburg.
“My House” consists of three members; Dr. Duda (Producer/pianist), J’Something (vocalist and guitarist) and Mo-T (Trumpeter) and now they are looking for a DJ/producer to join them in collaboration for their next track.
What better way to choose someone then by running a competition, and a remix comp at that.
Recently the trio shared a video on social media announcing the competition:
“Yo! Calling all you up and coming DJs and producers in South Africa! We’re running a cool competition for you guys!” the Twitter post reads.
Expand La Familia
In the clip, Mo-T explains what DJ’s/Producers wanting to get in on this amazing opportunity, they will need to do:
“You stand a chance to feature on our next single. All you gotta do is give your best remix of Nana, that’s from our latest album Familia.”
Not only is Nana the lead single for their latest project, La Familia, but so happens to be the first track featured on the album.
Nana is classic Mi Casa, keeping to the band’s core deep afro house sound.

It is reported that Mi Casa went through a rocky patch and almost broke up at a stage last year, but thankfully managed to step inside the house of their hearts and realise that they are indeed family.
