New Mi Casa video reaches a million views on YouTube
The Mi Casa Barman video, their latest, has reached an impressive one million views.
Mi Casa tweeted the following and shared the good news with their fans…
“Our music video for ‘Barman’ has just passed the 1 MILLION VIEW mark… Weeeh #Barman!”
The track features Big Nuz and DJ Tira and it’s easy to see why ‘Barman’ is simply another product of the Mi Casa hit factory. The Mi Casa Barman video was posted to YouTube eight months ago and in that time period the views have built up to a staggering one million views.
Mi Casa Barman video storyline
The storyline of the music video centers on the nerdy guy getting the pretty girl to dance with him after he and the girl have had a few drinks. Everyone looking on seems impressed and as though they can hardly believe what they are saying. It ends in a playful pantsula dance routine and the juke box at the bar cutting out.
In July Mi Casa were on their #UnlockAfrica tour which took them to countries such as Kenya, Ruwanada, and Uganda.
To get a feel for the local flavour, Mi Casa learned how to make a traditional Ugandan dish while they were there. The dish is known as Luwombo and they even shared their efforts on social media so that everyone could see just how adept they had become.
They posted this to twitter…
Back to back meetings and interviews today in Uganda… It’s going to be a gooooood day! #MiCasaUNLOCKAfrica 🇺🇬 pic.twitter.com/Bkn1ZH001N

They did a few radio interviews while there and of course played out a great show. It’s great to see another South African act taking their music to the rest of Africa. Building music industry connections within our continent is an intuitive and deliberate route to a stronger and relevant African music scene.
