Massive Attack Fantom – An app that remixes their music
The Massive Attack Fantom app is an app that remixes their music.

The Massive Attack Fantom app is “a sensory music player that remixes and reforms songs uniquely using a variety of environmental variables including location, movement, time of day, heartbeat and the integral moving image camera.”
The Massive Attack Fantom app will also be used to release new music. The group recently announced their 2016 European tour and also some new music scheduled to be released. The launch of their new app is something extra for their fans to sink their teeth in to.

If you download the new app you should be able to access some of their new stuff. The four new tracks you will get to check it out are ‘Voodoo in My Blood’, ‘Take It There’, ‘Dead Editors’, and ‘Ritual Spirit’.
You won’t be able to listen to the full tracks but only parts of them as you remix the new music on the app in real time.
The ‘Voodoo In My Blood’ track is a collaboration with Young Fathers, the credits also hints at the vocals being done by ‘Thaws’ (Adrian Thaws aka Tricky). The last time Tricky made an appearance on one of their albums was on ‘Protection’ back in 1994. The last album they released was Heligoland back in 2010.
The Massive Attack Fantom app was partially designed by Robert del Naja of the group and for now it is only available on iPhone.
The app promises to be a source of entertainment for fans as well as serve as a creative platform, making you feel closer to the group than you have probably ever had the chance to before.
The app will also allow you to create and record unique audio-visual clips which you can share and save and easily share through social media, SMS and peer-to-peer channels.
