Over the course of WMC 2012 SPACE will be the place, and Schulz will be the sound.
Every March DJs, promoters, industry insiders, partygoers and club-heads home in on mighty Miami for the Winter Music Conference. For the city’s most famous EDM native Markus Schulz, it’s one of the highlights of the year.
Over the last 12 months the re-ignition of his fabled Club SPACE residency has resulted in some extraordinary nights, with fans travelling from across the country to embark with Schulz on some epic and unforgettable musical journeys.
Having sold out 2 consecutive nights in record time last year, he will returning to perform another massive SPACE takeover in 2012. The club – voted #1 in the U.S. by DJ Mag readers and IDMA winner for Best U.S. Club in 2011- will be playing host to another major Schulz-fest. Famed for his 7 + hours sets, Markus will be at the music controls throughout the course of WMC weekend. Saturday 24th will be an open-till-close, straight-through set, while on Sunday, he’ll be welcoming some extra special guests for ballistic back-to-back turntable action.
Markus’ weekend performances at Space are not the only WMC attraction for Schulz followers though.
Those arriving in Miami earlier in the week can a taste of what’s in store by heading straight to Dream on Washington Ave, Miami Beach. On Monday the 19th of March leading lights from Coldharbour’s talent-packed roster will showcase the label’s sound and get the conference underway in style. Featuring performances by Torontonian Arnej and fast-on-the-rise East Coast/West Coast duo Grube & Hovsepian, the night will also boast conference debuts from Romania’s Mr. Pit and Colombian KhoMha, along with The Vanishing Point resident Kaeno and a very special guest.
