Twin DJs, Bandile and Banele Mbere, better known as Major League DJz are featured on the opening line-up for the much anticipated Kanye West concert happening on Saturday, 2 February 2013. Kanye will be hitting the stage as the headline act for one unforgettable night at the Coca Cola Dome.
The twins have hosted parties for the likes of 50 Cent, Akon and Fat Joe, and have played alongside both local and international artists such as DJ Fresh, Euphonik, Roger Goode, DJ Trauma, DJ Drama and DJ Woo Kid. Now they are adding the multiple-award winning, controversial rapper and fashion powerhouse that is Kanye West to their list of international musicians.
The popular Major League DJz will kick off the entertainment on the 2nd of February. Known for using an effect pad with looping and scratching to Hip Hop mixes during their set, they will orchestrate their own unique spin on some of hip hop’s hottest tracks.
“This is a dream come true. We have shared stages with a lot of different international and local artist but this is the first time we share a stage with an artist of this magnitude. We really feel honoured to be a part of this experience. Dreams do come true with hard work and ambition. God is good, make no mistake” shares Major League DJz.
Exposed to music at a very young age, Major League DJz were highly influenced by the sounds of Jazz and Hip-Hop music which ushered them into the entertainment industry in their early teens. The duo’s vision is to use music to unify youth across Africa.
