Major Lazer presents their brand new single, which features SA’s Babes Wodumo. The song comes accompanied by a music video directed by another Saffa and previous collaborator Adriaan Louw and was shot in Durban- feast your eyes here.
This new offering follows the recent release of “All My Life” featuring Nigerian vocalist Burna Boy, and is the second in a handful of collaborations with African artists coming from the trio this fall.
It’s so refreshing to see international artists get involved in music in Africa, and facilitate proper collaborations.
Afrobeats mix
Major Lazer also recently brought out an Afrobeats Mix, which blends music from across the continent, lending their international platform to game-changing African artists.
If you’re sensing an African trend, you are totally right; the only possible ‘next move’ for this trio is to go on an African Tour.
They are way ahead of us; this September and October Major Lazer will embark on a tour that will see them electrify audiences in South Africa, Malawi, Kenya, Ethiopia and Uganda.
Furthermore while in Africa, they will work with VETPAW (Veterans Empowered to Protect African Wildlife) to combat poaching in South Africa and beyond.
