LANDR DJ app makes your tracks and DJ mixes sound better
The LANDR DJ app help makes your tracks and DJ mixes sound better. The concept behind the LANDR start up was to make things easier for musicians who either don’t have the budget to pay a professional studio engineer to master their productions or lack the skills to do it themselves.
LANDR has been going for two years and in that time they have enjoyed steady growth. They acquired backing from Nas, Warner Music Group, Plus Eight Equity Fund, Tiga, Pete Tong, and Richie Hawtin.
The LANDR app has some new added features such as a blog and a royalty-free sampling service.
“At our core we are a mastering tool.” Said CEO Pascal Pilon to Beatport
Pascal Pilon claims that more than two million musical works have been mastered using LANDR. Their latest offering comes in the form of a new app known as LANDR DJ.
It has been designed especially for hip hop and electronic music producers. The LANDR DJ app masters complete mixes using the combination of the platform’s standard features and a new algorithm that will optimize multiple tracks within a mix in order to enhance the overall sound, while still keeping intact moments such as transitions, builds, and breakdowns.
LANDR has also partnered with Native Instruments with a plan to master its Stems format in the future.
The LANDR CEO reiterates that a polished and mastered mix is vital in order to maintain strong musical currency with your music and DJ sets.
“It’s not enough anymore to simply play live and build a buzz. Mastering is the competitive edge that any DJ hoping to gain exposure needs. We’re excited to be providing that possibility.” Said Pilon
