Have a Kilifi New Year beneath the Baobabs with electronic music and more
Say goodbye to 2018 at Kilifi New Year in Kenya.
This boutique electronic, reggae and alternative music festival will be held in Kilifi town on the coast of Kenya.
Now in its 5th year running, choosing to call Kilifi home sprang not only because of its breathe-taking natural beauty, but from what the envisioned for the future.
Back at its inception, the founders decided to host a gathering that would act as a melting pot of global cultures and a haven for freedom of expression.
The festival is peppered with secret nooks, majestic spaces and art, intended to encourage renewal. A mini Afrika Burn, it culminates with the burning of a large wooden sculpture, symbolising new beginnings and a shared optimism for a brighter future, bringing together the community of Kilifi and all festival goers for a moving spectacle as we greet the new year in unison.
