Kerri Chandler gifts 43 vinyl-only tracks for free download
From vinyl to digital, Kerri Chandler gifts his tracks.
The New Jersey-born legend of house has been a patron of groove for the past 28 years, and what better way to celebrate an impressive career than to give away your music for free?
Especially if said music wasn’t previously available in digital format…
Chandler’s music shines on vinyl, but what with it being the digital age, a lot of his tracks weren’t available digitally; until now.
Chandler recently posted to Facebook, saying:
“As promised I am putting this link up for 43 songs of mine for free that weren’t available as digital downloads. Hope you enjoy and play them.”
The fact that he himself shared the download speaks volumes of his down to earth nature and sense of style.
Mommy wants a record
The house pioneer posted a WeTransfer link containing 43 originals and remixes to his Facebook page, a gift to his fans.
The 2GB file includes tracks like “Get it Off,’ off his debut EP from 1990 called Super Lover, collaborations with Dee Dee Brave and Naeem Johnson, a handful of Nina Simone remixes and “Mommy What’s A Record,” a well-known track off the 2010 The Thing For Linda 2010 12-inch.
The package also includes rare mixes and previously unreleased tracks, such as a beat less version of “In the Morning,” his 2006 collaboration with Monique Bingham, an unreleased track called “Fluff Rehab” and an unknown cut called “Can’t Let Go.”
Here’s the post Kerri Chandler made, get involved in this glorious gift of house music magic.
