“For the longest time I’ve been influenced by the West through hip hop, which is evident through the music I did with TKZee… I forgot the rich sonic heritage in Africa and Immortal Vol 3 takes inspiration from that. There’s a lot of tribal African rhythms and songs of celebration of Africa.” said Kabelo Mabalane.
The first single off his new album is titled ‘Matimba’ chosen for the way it encompasses the tone of this release. It’s a song that is a reminder of why we should all be proud to be African and to celebrate that. The video for ‘Matimba’ was shot in Mozambique and you can check that out below.
The newest single off Immortal Vol 3 is titled ‘Free This Land’. It’s a war cry styled track that serves as a motivator for unity between African people.
The single has already been picked up by YFM and by Yarona FM in Botswana
