Jub Jub accused of owing R125 000 to a former family friend
Jub Jub accused of owing money.
The one true fact of life is that debts should, and usually end up being paid be it in a figurative sense or in a literal sense.
Ex-convict and hip hop star Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye has had an intense few years, to say it mildly.
In 2012 Jub and his friend Themba Tshabalala were convicted of culpable homicide after driving their cars into a group of school children, killing 4 and leaving 2 brain-damaged.
Jub was released on parole after 4 years, with a new lease on life.
He spoke to Channel24 about how he plans “to use my second chance in life to touch lives”, adding that he had learnt a lot from his time in prison and was ready to make a positive impact on people’s lives.
How kind of you
Now new information has come to light that Jub owes a family friend R125000 after she paid his lawyer, Ike Motloung, for his legal services.
She helped the fallen star because his family asked her and they had been friends for decades- she even fetched him from pre-school when he was little.
Now that he’s out he seems uninterested n clearing his debt. The woman is now on a wild goose chase trying to get a hold of his manager and wife Angela in order to get to Jub Jub.
Motloung confirms that he received 4 payments from someone un-related to Jub, and ads that he is “owed legal fees by the sisters and the mother, and the matter is in high court.”
Though Jub Jub may be free from jail, he is still shackled by debt ill-treatment of those who helped him.
