John OO Fleming to perform 3 & ½ hr DJ set in Cape Town – Win tickets
English trance producer and DJ, John OO Fleming, has been plying his trade since the 90’s and is something of a household name often mentioned alongside Paul Oakenfold, Anne Savage and many other stalwarts of the dance music scene.
He formed JOOF recordings as far back as 1998 which must surely be one of the oldest existing labels still running.
Releases include artists such as Airwave, John O’Callaghan, Anne Savage, Solar Fields, Mike Dierickx, Wizzy Noise, Anton Chernikov, Oliver Prime, L.S.G. and Liquid Soul and he continues to get support from heavyweight DJs like Armin Van Buuren, Tiësto, Above & Beyond and Paul Oakenfold.
His 2016 album, Alter Ego was a Beatport No.1 and his latest V/A release – Joof Editions Vol. 4 has done the same, absolutely dominating the Beatport charts, recently.
A club trance DJ in the 90’s, John OO Fleming flirted considerably with psytrance, especially in the mid to late 2000’s, but today his output is by no means restricted to one genre.
As Joof Editions Vol. 4 aptly demonstrates, Fleming’s musical taste ranges from trance and psytrance to progressive house and techno and although his own productions are predominantly trance and/or psytrance he is a DJ who can certainly please a diverse crowd of old and new ravers alike.
John’s own productions date back to 1996 and he has played such a variety of club and festival events across the globe, his 3 & ½ hour mega set he is due to perform at Goldswindler Presents: The Fifth Element is one not to be missed.
