Joburg Day 2020 features Ami Faku, Sho Madjozi, Bongo Maffin & more
Joburg Day 2020 is taking place on 16 May at the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens in Emmerentia.
Huawei Joburg Day in the Park promises to deliver a cultural musical experience that’s fun for the whole family, confirming some of Mzanzi’s best on the line up.
Following successful Joburg Day events since its inception in 2017, the fourth annual Huawei Joburg Day in the Park will feature ten local artists representing an array of musical genres.
Whether it’s the afro-pop sounds of Ami Faku to the rock electro sounds of Jessie Clegg, there’s a sound for all. BET best international new act winner Sho Madjozi will also share the stage alongside acclaimed Kwaito music group Bongo Muffin and Jeremy Loops and Halley Rey join the line up to bolster the flavor.

Commenting on the show, Thando Makhunga, 947 station manager said “Every year, thousands of music fans join us in a beautiful Joburg park to have an epic party and we up the ante with an A-list line-up and 2020 will be no different.
We’re especially excited to welcome the legendary Bongo Maffin to the Huawei Joburg Day stage for the very first time as well as familiar favourites Jeremy Loops, Sho Madjozi, Prime Circle, Black Motion and DJ Kent,” Makhunga concluded.
