House Music Comes Alive
The second instalment of House Music Comes Alive takes place on the 6th December 2014. An evening rooted in honouring the best in deep house culture. The tell tale line up looks like it is an event that is all set to enthral house music lovers with some of the finest quality in sound and production. The House music scene in Joburg definitely has a special quality that is uniquely its own. To attend a party that so aptly celebrates the finesse of deep house is a treat indeed.
House Music Comes Alive will happen on ‘Some Roof Top’ in Joburg at 162 Anderson Street. The line up includes Michael G one half of G-Family and Phonigenic Ogilvy & Mather CEO. 60 Hertz from Pretoria who had the big hit ‘Capricorn’ back in 2011. Melos from Tembisa will perform tracks with Jerah such as, Mma Wee and Searching from the Soul Candi Sessions 2 release. Sai & Ribatone from Soulistic Music will also launch a new single on the night.
Sculptured music, Deep Xcape and the Block Melo Soul will perform all of the hits live. Aside from the impressive local line up for the night, QB Smith who is originally from London and now lives in South Africa, will spin some vinyl into the mix of musical festivity.
House Music Comes Alive swears to put on the same stage new performing talents with the tried and true legends of the scene, in order to create a great tasting plate of what is happening in house music in South Africa.
