Hip Hop Pantsula calls out dodgy event organisers
Hip Hop Pantsula has called out dodgy event organisers in an Instagram post. The local rapper shared in detail the bad management of the event and his disappointment with the standards upheld.
At first Hip Hop Pantsula was excited to announce that his Bokone Bophirima Party Musical Manifesto raised R 12 500 in aid of a North West University student fund.
Then, he was let down soon after finding out that the full amount of money would not be donated to the student fund, but that it would instead be divided amongst the organisers. He also let all of his followers know that the event organisers only gave him R 400 for his performance.
In his own words…
Hip Hop Pantsula said ….”It is with great disappointment that I announce that the “Administration” of #BRS in Mafikeng are still disputing giving the entire R12.5k raised at the #BBP_ManifestoLaunch to the students of #NWUFund. They still want to split it amongst #stakeholders. So to cut the bullshit, I told them to KEEP the money.”
It’s a wonder just how far R 12 500 could go after being divided up amongst “stakeholders”. It also seems insulting for anyone to pay an artist of HHP’s calibre a measly R 400 for a performance.
Hip Hop Pantsula also shared on his Instagram post what he was offered at the event…“I needed money for my kids from the show, but all I got from the gig was 400 bucks, two sleeping rooms, 4 platters of food, two bottles of alcohol, two long toms of blue label, a six pack of water and a 20 pack ya Cotliegh.”
And just in case you didn’t know that HHP was a stoner, he also shared this little quip so that you could perhaps empathize with his plight during the event…
“I didn’t even have weed that night.”
Moral of the story, if you’re going to book Hip Hop Pantsula for a charity event, make sure that you donate the money that is promised and don’t forget to hook the guy up with some dank bud too.
