Herbal Blend drug dangerous and accessible in Gauteng
There’s a new Herbal Blend drug that is far from herbal, according to reports.
Just as marijuana makes headway in the constitution, idiots must distribute a substance that kind of looks like bud but is FAR from the ground-grown plant.
Not that it’s going to affect marijuana’s stance in our constitution, but still.
So, there’s this substance called “Herbal Blend” which goes by other names including Spice, K2, or in the local context Crazy Coconut.
While you may know true weed as relaxing, euphoria-inducing medicine; this crazy-ass substance does the opposite; and its wreaking havoc in Pretoria and the Gauteng region.
Captain Augustinah Selepe, speaking on behalf of the Gauteng police, issued a statement urging the public to refrain from purchasing the product from local stores, saying:
“Thirteen people that include young adults and scholars have been hospitalised since Sunday after smoking an alleged unknown substance allegedly called herbal blend, puff, blazing or crazy coconut.”
Over the counter
Captain Salepe goes on to say, “the product, a small bag containing a substance similar to marijuana, is allegedly sold and bought over the counter at tobacco shops, tuck shops and adult shops. It is then mixed with cigarette/tobacco or rolled at the smoker’s discretion.”
This brings us to an anonymous adult shop employee, who explained that the ‘drug’ is actually a potpourri expelling aphrodisiac qualities and was in fact supposed to be burnt like incense and should NOT be smoked. The back of the package had a warning that it was not to be sold to persons under the age of 21. It did not specify the ingredients though.
Stay away from this Herbal Blend drug; it’s just chemicals.
