Yasi was a severe tropical cyclone that made landfall in northern Queensland, Australia in the early hours of 3 February 2011. Media outlets referred to the storm as ‘what could be the state’s worst cyclone in history’.
During this time, HAEZER was on tour in Australia and amidst the devastation began work on the track and thus decided to dedicate YASI to fans in Australia.
On the 1st of OCTOBER 2011 HAEZER released YASI – for FREE DOWNLOAD! A gift to all his fans for their loyalty and their dedication to shredding the dance floors apart at his shows and making it easy for him to love what he does. The EP features the title track YASI, as well as a bonus track called Joey Bloom.
“YASI is the first track I produced while being on a tour, although I finished it only much later in the studio back home. I also think this track is a very good indication of where my sound is going and has made me excited to collaborate again.”

HAEZER decided to give the EP away for free due to having a number of recent paid for releases – this release is especially for the fans. YASI also features Circe who has previously collaborated with HAEZER on tracks like ‘Who the fuck is HAEZER?’ ‘Here Come The Punks’ and ‘Dominator’. Her vocals give the tracks a unique character, her cheeky feminine style works in perfect symbiosis to the hard trash sound synonymous with HAEZER.
YASI is HAEZER’s first EP release since the release of ‘It’s Not Our Fault’ (Mahtrasher Records) in May this year. He is also currently working on a next EP – ‘Monkey’ which is set for release later this year on CRUX Records.
In November HAEZER will embark on another European tour after playing in Germany, Italy, Holland, Czech Republic, Portugal and Austria earlier this year. While on this tour, HAEZER was invited to play the legendary BEATPATROL festival in Vienna. His set followed Steve Aokiʼs on the DIM MAK stage which also hosted names such as Moby, Mr Oizo, Afrojack, Dada Life, Felix Cartal and Cyberpunkers. HAEZER has been invited by BEATPATROL to play a follow up event in November 2011.
HAEZER will return to Europe for yet another two months in November and is also set to play New Years Eve in Paris and once again returns to Australia in February then the UK and USA in March/April/May 2012.
