The new Goodluck Figure of 8 video has been released.
Singer Juliet Harding comments:
“The head of Velocity Films, Nicola Valentine, loves our music! We got this whole big setup – reel to reel players, we’ve got vintage mikes, Dom’s [from Goldfish] double bass and Ben [Peters] has this huge marching band drum that he’s playing for the kick. We want to show that Goodluck doesn’t use a lot of plugins, we don’t use presets – everything is made from scratch.”
The most impressive ingredient, of the new Goodluck Figure of 8 video, is the D3 machine that creates eye candy visuals that can be perfectly synced to music in whatever way the user desires.
“With the D3 Machine you can control an entire performance production. If you know your set, you can sync everything – exactly. It’s great, perfect every time. It’s the only one in South Africa – so they’re testing out for the first time in this video…”
We spent some time with Goodluck backstage, check out these photos taken by Mik Motala Photography.
