Goldfish and NightRider remix Divine Sorrow by Wyclef ft. Avicii
These remixes by South African talents Goldfish and NightRider were originally released as part of the Coca Cola/(RED) campaign. Now the remixes for Wyclef and Avicii’s “Divine Sorrow” are out on Heads Music/PRMD.
Goldfish, just in case you don’t know is a live electronic music duo from South Africa that is one of our proud exports. They have been taking their brand of music all over the world, and now they are boasting a proud and strong international following that just keeps on growing.
Goldfish reinforces their reputation for mixing up live instrumentation into their works by rolling in docile grooves and fragile keys. The result is of course a top notch rendition of the original. Then the NightRider duo’s blend of melodically charged house music with ambient undertones compliments the original. The result is a brilliant high profile remix that is sure to be the onset of many more.
The remix package is a tidy little sample box of sounds from two opposite ends of the music spectrum, from none other than local artists Goldfish and NightRider.
‘Divine Sorrow’ featuring Avicii is the first single off of the legendary Wyclef Jean’s upcoming seventh artist album titled Cleficiation.
The album was co-produced by his manager Ash Pournouri, as well as Magnus Lidehäll, Vincent Pontare, and Salem Al Fakir. The release of this track and its subsequent remixes reflects the new direction that Wyclef Jean is taking with his music. He is, as you most probably already know, a Grammy award winning artist who is also well known and respected for his philanthropic endeavours.
