Garden State festival launches with exclusive event
Launch into the Garden State Festival with the pre-festival.
Garden State is a brand new festival idea that strives to connect back to the intimacy and roots of music and alternative creation.
It is the brainchild of two leading music industry women, Jessamine County and Jessica Schenehage, who have put their expertise from years of industry knowledge into this unique festival.
“We want to breathe life into a scene that has become mostly generic” says Jess, “and we want to do it in a part of the country that’s a perfect fit for our vision” says the other Jess.

The Garden State launch event offers 300 ticketholders a special musical experience that boasts a stellar international line-up.
Hailing from the USA – Kyp Malone (TV on the Radio), Laura Burhenn (The Mynabirds) and Dave Depper (Death Cab for Cutie) will take to the stage for an up-close-and-personal performance alongside an outstanding South African line up of musical shape-shifters across multiple genres, including The Brother Moves On, Age of Waves, Obie Mavuso and InviZAble.
The Cape Town launch party is the appetizer for the main festival which will be held in the Garden Route itself, the dates of which will be announced at the launch.
