OUT NOW: Gaiser’s ‘False Light’ on Richie Hawtin Minus Label
Gaiser False Light is the brand new album released yesterday (11 Nov ’14) on Richie Hawtin’s Minus label. Gaiser is an American born artist who is now Berlin based and has been on the Minus label for nearly ten years. He is a bonafide Techno innovator and has managed to evolve and sharpen his sound into something original and truly reflective of his own signature creativity. This album serves as a complete and contemporary techno tale of his style.
Gaiser False Light serves up ten tracks with a convivial approach. He put this work together with no ego and no expectation of any outcome. The result is a wonderfully artistic album that teams his ultimate muse alongside the percussive, synth, and bass lines that forms all the tracks.
After nearly a decade since the electronic music world has happened upon Gaiser, he continues to impress and blow the Techno scene away with his consistent boundary bending. Years of honing his skills on machines and cultivating his sound in a studio that integrates analog alongside digital have resulted in a perpetual progression of artistic development. Digressing at times from the 4/4 beat under the alias Void, his “No Sudden Movements” (2011) album delved into the exploration of a spacey, ambient, industrial sound.
Well known for his enrapturing live shows, this original ten track piece of work on Gaiser False Light tells a special kind of techno story that you probably will want to hear and then perhaps tell your friends about.
At this time, Gaiser is on tour doing shows in Porto, Brussels, Paris, Zurich, London, Bucharest, Treviso and more. It’s a brand new live show with the visual artwork handled by Ahmet Said Kaplan.
Let’s hope someone brings him to South Africa for a tour.
