The future has arrived and it’s called the Apple iPhone X
X most certainly marks the spot when it comes to the Apple iPhone X.
Set for release on November 3, this sounds like a phone most tech-savvy DJ/producers will want to get their hands on.
Alongside the iPhone X, comes the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
Tim Cook announced the iPhone X to be the most revolutionary upgrade since its debut in 2007 at Apple’s Cupertino headquarters.
With the X standing for ‘10’, this phone is definitely a ten out of ten on the features list.
Some of its features include a bezel-free screen that eliminates the physical home button and has a swanky glass back.
The 5.8” screen is crawling with 2.7 million pixels and boasts OLED technology.
That’s just the tip of the ice berg as it also features the likes of augmented reality, wireless charging and a step above the Touch ID system-facial recognition.
An Apple a day
The iPhone X Facial recognition, appropriately called ‘Face ID,’ will be used for unlocking the phone as well as authorizing payments made with Apple pay.
Don’t fret; Face ID is stored on your phone only, making it invulnerable for a ‘Big Brother’ effect.
In terms of its charging power, it now comes with a type of charging mat called AirPower, which allows users to charge their iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods simultaneously.
Sticking to its spacey theme, the X comes in Space Grey and Silver and is built around Super Retina Display.
Unfortunately the beloved headphone jack is excluded, but users can find peace in the inclusion of the 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter.
Mac has always been preferred amongst music producers; it will be interesting to see how they cater to their musical needs if the future of a phone is so bright- what else is in store?
The Apple iPhone X is available for preorder from October 27 for the hefty but understandable price of $999. (R 17,000)
