Full Flex Charity Tour with Skrillex & Bridges for Music
Full Flex Charity Tour with Skrillex & Bridges for Music is the artist’s way of giving back.
The tour started on the 8th of July 2015 in Ottawa, Canada and Skrillex will be giving away Pioneer music equipment to local music centres for young people in each city as a part of the tour.
The Skrillex Full Flex Charity tour has partnered up with Bridges For Music, together they will be donating two CDJ 2000s and one DJM 900 mixer per show to a local youth organisation.
What does this mean to South Africa?
It gets better too; Skrillex will be donating a section of the profits of his tour to Bridges For Music.
The Bridges For Music organisation in turn plans on using this money to help build a Music School in Langa, a local South African township right here in Cape Town.
It’s an exciting thought that a music school will be available in this community; which will most likely grow into a vibrant and positive place for the young people of the area to go and be inspired to dream and learn.
The young people from all of the organisations that the Full Flex Charity tour will be donating to will be treated to a small demo on how to operate their new gear. They will also get a tour during the sound check and experience what it is like “behind the scenes” at a performance that is on a Skrillex level.
Bridges For Music and Full Flex Charity are also planning on giving away really cool prizes to supporters throughout the world with their Urgency Network crowd-funding page.
When you donate to Bridges For Music you get to enter a competition with an impressive grand prize. The prize is a package trip to attend any of the Skrillex shows in North America as a VIP. This includes US flights, tickets, and accommodation. It’s a great motivator for all Skrillex fans to give back too.
