Fiction Bar now owned by Haezer

Fiction Bar in Cape Town is now owned by electronic music producer/DJ Haezer.

He co-owns the popular night club venue alongside Dominique Gawlowski of Griet Artist Management and Grietfest as well as Rob Mulholland of Door 221. Haezer is also the  first DJ to own the bar and it will be cool to see how his influence helps shape the place.

Since Fiction Bar has been under the control of its new owners, it has already had acts like Skrillex, Frivalous, and Habstrakt play at the venue.

Fiction Bar has also kicked off three new event series such as The Olmeca Secret International, which features surprise international guests, Go Ape showcasing drum & bass, and also Fiction Nights which will feature mixed genre electronic music.

The club has undergone an ‘extreme make-over’ and has a brand new DJ box, a fresh intelligent lighting system, and they have upgraded the facilities.

Next week, what you can look forward to from the venue is the launch of their new concept bar known as ‘The Mystery Bar’. This event will host weekly guests of independent and commercial distillers, brewers, and cocktail makers.

They will be selling their drinks at discounted rates and it could be a fun way to add novelty to your night out. The aim behind this concept bar night is to connect consumers with quality local and international brands that are not yet well known.

 Fiction has for years now, been a destination for electronic music lovers in Cape Town featuring quality drum & bass, techno, disco, bass house and also indie, hip hop, commercial, and deep house.
