Endless App – make music with your friends remotely
The Endless app is currently only available on iOS.
With social distancing and lockdown measures in place worldwide, online collaboration is booming.
Though it’s not unusual for producers to write music collaboratively online (in fact it’s the norm), the new app Endless caters for users who want to make music with friends and have fun.
Not everyone is familiar with the workings of digital audio workstations like Ableton Live, Apple’s Logic Pro X or Cubase and that’s where Endless fills in the gap.
Billed as a “multiplayer music” app, Endless is geared towards ‘novice’ users familiar with music production basics while remaining somewhat accessible to newcomers.
Endless music, Endless fun
Endless works at different levels, making it user-friendly.
In terms of production, you build a track loop by loop, adding drums, notes, FX and more, tapping a section to loop it.
Apart from the featured software versions of gear like drum machines and samplers, you can also plug in your external kit and use it within the app.
While the app itself is free to use, a monthly subscription of £4.49 will unlock different sounds and effects however due to the COVID-19 crisis the trial period has been extended from a week to two months.
As of yet the app is only available on iOS but join Endless’ mailing list to hear about upcoming platform and product developments.
