Ellputo Tell Everybody – Global Goals Campaign
Ellputo Tell Everybody has been created as a music piece for the Global Goals campaign for sustainable development. The track will be released on the 11th of September 2015.
Ellputo Tell Everybody was made in collaboration with Cobhams Asuquo from Nigeria and David Muthami from Kenya.
Promoted by the United Nations and Global Goals, the aim of Ellputo Tell Everybody is to send out a message to young people in Africa, motivating them to take an active part in public governance.
The song also features Mafikizolo from South Africa, Yemi Alade from Nigeria, Diamond from Tanzania, Sauti Sol from Kenya, Becca from Ghana, Sarkodie from Ghana, and Toofan from Togo.
‘Tell Everybody’ is original in the way that it brings together various African languages, music genres, and backgrounds into one song with a strong theme of unification. The idea is that the song is intended to reflect how well something can go when a united collaborative effort is used to achieve a common global or continental goal.
“This song will be the whisper that turned into a murmur that turned into a wakeup call. A wakeup call that turned into a call for action. A call to action that turned into a declaration. A declaration that turned into a melody. A melody that turned into a pulse. A pulse that turned into a beat. A beat that turned into a song. A song that turned into the success of Africa. The success of Africa, that we will “Tell Everybody” around the world.”
The producer, Ellputo was chosen for this project because he is known for his skills and creativity with rich African percussions. Ellputo has been quite busy and has some more stuff in the pipeline since he has also been working with Burna Boy, Danny K, Anatii, Runtown, Sean Tizzle and more.
Ellputo’s real name is Etivaldo Joaquim, he is an award winning artist signed to African record label, Geobek Entertainment for which he is the first signed music producer. He has also recently represented Mozambique at the Coca Cola Studio in Kenya.
Ellputo Tell Everybody, look out for it on Soundcloud on 11 September.
