Earthdance Cape Town gets a new team at the helm
Earthdance Cape Town is an institution on the Mother City’s annual party calendar.
I can proudly say that “I was there” for the very first one that Regan and Monique Tacon held at Hangklip Hotel near Pringle Bay.
In fact if memory serves me correctly I towed a trailer of toilets out with my trusty Hilux 4×4 that served us all so well in those early days of throwing parties.

20 years on and the team has done amazing things with the brand; never being shy to try new ideas, but most importantly never shy in contributing massively over the years to charities too.
We should not forget that the bedrock of what Earthdance stands for is to ‘Give peace a dance,’ and recognise that this event is part of a bigger global initiative to celebrate peace on our planet and remind us that we are all intrinsically drawn toward LOVE not HATE.
A new era waits
Now the mantle of Earthdance Cape Town has been handed to a new production team, a task that was no doubt considered very carefully after 20 years of dedication.
I am confident that the new gang will take this on with the same enthusiasm and sense of responsibility that has made Earthdance Cape Town one of the biggest and most successful of these events worldwide.
Here is their press release. I wish them well for the future…

Big news for Cape Town’s Out-Door music festival scene this year as Earthdance Cape Town continues 21 years of magic with a new team at the helm. Regan and Monique from Nano Records have handed over the reins after 20 years of parenting the great iconic out-door event we know and love so well.
For those of you who have heard of Flipside Events, RaveRover and Summer Camp, an exciting team is ready to set sail with Earthdance as she turns 21. Harry, Dani, Tamsin and Craig will be following the tradition of Great Music, Magic, Dancing for Peace and raising the consciousness of what Earthdance Global is all about, right here in beautiful Cape Town!
Earthdance will continue to honour all the wonderful adventures, values and the family that has grown with it over the last 21 years.
“It’s important to us that Earthdance fans know that we are 100% committed to maintaining the production ethos and incredibly high standards that Regan and Monique sustained for the last 20 years. We are a dedicated team whose number 1 priority is to deliver an event we can all be proud of as a community.
Earthdance is a charity event and will continue supporting the Earth Child Project as it has done for the last 10 years. Together with your support we cannot wait to put our energy into upholding this wonderful event with a cause,” adds Dani Boden and Tamsin Hall.
“We are going back to the very core of the best of trance, expect our home grown and internationals to blow your socks off,” says Harry Boden.
