Dubstep light show by family to raise money for charity
A dubstep light show has been put together by a Texan family in order to raise money for charity this festive season.
The holiday season sees many families go all out in competition for the most feverishly decorated Christmas spirit house. Bothasig in Cape Town is well known for this, if you are in the area take a drive through at night and witness the Suburban Christmas mania.
But back to Texas, The Johnson’s took it all a step further with their dubstep light show. They wanted to make their children happy and also raise some funds for a good cause.
Not only have they achieved those two objectives but they are now also experiencing a golden fifteen minutes of worldwide fame.
“The main reason that I do the light show is because of my kids. They are the age where they think it’s so cool and their friends think it’s cool. Their friends will come dance in the street.”
Mr Johnson is just adorable, such a great dad. They chose to turn their dubstep light show into a charitable initiative after some significant pressure from Mrs Johnson.
“The past several months, all she talks about is clean water and how many kids are dying from a lack of clean water. She’s already been wanting to do this and we’re just extending it to the light show. People are able to submit pledges via text message while they are watching the show and see real-time updates of each night’s pledges.” said Mr Johnson
If water safety and good deeds makes you smile then you might want to donate a little something and give these conscientious and earnest parents two thumbs up for all of their efforts.
