With Dropmix become the mash-up DJ you’ve always dreamed of being
Dropmix will help you become the badass mash-up DJ you always knew you were.
Dropmix is a new game by toy maker Hasbro and Harmonix. They also made the popular games Dance Central and Rock Band.
This new musical card game allows you to mix and match various sounds from your favourite track and then create a song that is all your own mash-up.
This is how it works:
You pick up to five cards, each card contains a different element of a song. Maybe you choose the bass line of Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s Shimmy Shimmy Ya and a sample from Mariah Carey’s Fantasy. You then place the NFC-enabled cards on a physical board to make your mash-up, with the order in which you place the cards affecting the outcome.
It seems simple enough and should be entertaining as hell too.
The cards will feature music from Top 40 artists like Bruno Mars’ (“24K Magic”) and The Weeknd (“Can’t Feel My Face”), as well as EDM hits like Skrillex’s “Bangarang,” Afrojack’s “Take Over Control,” The Chainsmokers’ “Closer,” and Duck Sauce’s “Barbra Streisand.”
They are planning to have three hundred different cards for the Dropmix game by the end of the year. The product is scheduled for released in September 2017 with a retail price starting at $99.99. With the game you will get sixty cards. You can buy five extra cards for $4.99 for five cards, or $14.99 for 15.
Indulge your rockstar DJ day dreams with Dropmix.
It could be fun to play when you are having a wasted night in with your friends.
