The DJ Qness and December Streets – Can You Feel It music video has officially been released and made its debut on TRACE TV.
The track was released last year November through Coke Studio. In the few months since its release it has received regular air play on local South African radio.
The DJ Qness and December Streets – Can You Feel It track has already made it into the Top 40 songs most played on national radio, according to the EMA, SA Local Music Top 40 Playlist Chart, and it currently sits at number nine.
The DJ Qness and December Streets – Can You Feel It music video was filmed last month on the location of a TV series.
The setting was a huge factory with sets that have been built into it. The music video was created by Run Jump Fly and it features a camera following around two actors who explore their surroundings, while conveying a love story that is sad in nature.
The story line behind the music video concept is one where a couple falls into a mad and intense love. The couple breaks into what is a closed down set of a film. Eventually you figure out that it is all just a game and one of them is being misled and pushed around by the other.
“The lyrics and meaning of the song talk about a high energy, intense love with someone who can’t quite give back what you’re putting in. The Run Jump Fly team beautifully captured this through the lead female character (Mikayla Mclean), who plays the role of an adventurous, highly attractive and daring personality. She then leads the slightly oblivious guy (Sean Tucker) through this adventure, only to be taken on a ride that does not end up well for him. This is definitely the most cinematic and emotive video we have shot; we love the emotion and wonder it captured.” – December Streets.
