DJ Mobi Dixon hospitalised for suffering from exhaustion
DJ Mobi Dixon hospitalised due to exhaustion.
DJ Mobi Dixon is currently recovering at his home after being treated for exhaustion at a clinic in Johannesburg this week.
For any person with a rigorous schedule exhaustion is inevitable. Musicians and DJs who play gigs at all hours of the night and usually don’t get a lot of rest especially experience this.
DJ Mobi Dixon experienced this first hand and is now doing what his mind and body probably told him to do a while ago.
But when gigs are golden, you won’t turn down opportunities to play for your fans and thus a hectic tour schedule can lead to fatigue, and in some cases hospitalization.
Mobi told TshishaLIVE that he was put on a drip and thereafter instructed to rest for the next week so that he can recover and get back to the music.
Is the juice worth the squeeze?
“I think I overdid it. I performed at nine gigs in four provinces in three days. I was also launching my new album and doing all the preparations and meetings around that. I was on the road for 72 hours straight with minimum sleep. I thought I could keep up but it just got too much,” he explained.
Luckily the star reached out for help when his health started dwindling.
“There is really no cause for concern. I have been put on bed rest and I am doing my best to recover as soon as possible. I have been advised to clear my schedule for the next few days but should be back soon,” he added.
In such a trial, Mobi has a positive outlook in that he feels more prepared for the December gig rush.
“It was a bit sudden because it is not even busy season. When December comes I will be better prepared because I now know what to eat and I’ll plan my sleep” he said.
With exhaustion taking its toll and seeing DJ Mobi Dixon hospitalised, performers should heed this caution and remember to look after their health.
