Teaching mum
DJ Deviation is obviously quite close to his mom, like all boys should be. Even his DJ page profile pic is him and his mom, cutely called ‘mum and bass.’
He has also shared his lifelong love for DJing and drum n bass with her and taken the time to teach his mom the ins and outs of spinning some tunes and mixing them. Judging by the video DJ Deviation has done a mighty fine job of it too as she is able to beat-match (first rule of DJing), whips the sliders in and out for effect (pretty important especially in genres like d n b) and the best part of the video is when she slams in a mix of a new track and throws her hand in the air to the beat. Pure gold.
Refreshingly she’s also mixing on CDJs and not a laptop which, let’s be honest, would not have seemed quite as cool as this.
Well done Deviation on sharing your passion with your mum. Proud of you mate! J
Here’s the video. If it doesn’t play right through to the end pop over to the Deviation page and check it out.
