DJ Clock and Beatenberg bring in the numbers with a massively successful collaboration
The DJ Clock and Beatenberg collaboration Pluto (Remember You) is being celebrated as the biggest since the inception of democratic South Africa.
Last week saw the DJ Clock and Beatenberg’s smash hit ‘Pluto (Remember You)’ breaking the record for most radio plays for a single song over a week long period in South Africa (based on the history of the Mediaguide/EMA charts).
In addition, the official video has garnered 100,000+ views on YouTube, bringing the total views for the online videos for the song to over 400,000.
iTunes stats include a #1 spot in Botswana and #2 in South Africa.
Being big fans of DJ Clock’s work, indie band Beatenberg teamed up the Johannesburg house maker. Surprisingly, the song was put together in one day. Due to schedule demands, Beatenberg had to rush off at the end of the session just in time to catch their plane flight back to Cape Town.
WHERE TO NOW FOR DJ CLOCK AND BEATENBERG’S PLUTO?
The video is set to be featured on MTV Iggy in the USA this week. There are also exciting local performances that will be announcements soon. The single seems jet set and ready to take the world by storm.
The DJ Clock The 4th Tick album is currently in the Top 10 charts in stores nationally. Beatenberg’s debut record, The Hanging Gardens of Beatenberg, is currently on the way to being mixed in the UK, with the release confirmed for 19th June.
