DJ Black Coffee becomes a global ambassador for AFEM
DJ Black Coffee continues his world domination as he is named a global ambassador.
Currently fulfilling his residency at Club Hi located in Ibiza, he now has another notch on his belt.
The Association for Electronic Music (AFEM) has inducted our greatest dance music export into the league of legends sought out to fight against the challenges faced by the genre.
He joins heavyweights such as Pete Tong, Armin Van Buuren, Louie Vega and Paul Van Dyk for the upcoming campaign.
These gents of the genre have been chosen to save the plight of electronic as it faces challenges such as diversity, anti-piracy, mental and physical health support and royalty transparency.
It’s not all fun and games behind the decks!
The cure of the Coffee
AFEM CEO Mark Lawrence spoke to TshisaLIVE about why they chose DJ Black Coffee to fight the good fight:
“As we developed the list of ambassadors we wanted to ensure that the core values of electronic music were represented; diversity, creativity and unity. Black Coffee is among electronic music’s most respected global artist and represent these things for us. He has his own unique and inspiring story to tell.”
Black Coffee is set to represent the organization free of charge as he raises awareness of the pressing issues plaguing the genre.
All these challenges impact DJ’s, musicians, fans and songwriters and it is the duty of these ambassadors to be the global voice of the electronic music genre.
The plan is for these ambassadors to instigate change from the roots of those who create the music to the leaves of those who listen to it.
We can think of no better man than DJ Black Coffee to spruce up and electrify the electronic music genre.
