DJ beaten in Agra for cutting off music at 10pm
DJ beaten for refusing to play beats after 10pm!!!
Everyone who’s ever been at a club or festival enjoying the music knows how depressing it is when the music goes off, hence the classic “one more song” anthem.
Either the DJ complies and plays one more song, or they disappear from the stage- it is usually the call of the organizers or some other higher power, and although it sucks, the crowd usually accepts it and moves along, well not in this case.
A DJ playing at Bandham Marriage Home in Agra cut off the music at 10pm (yes, that is quite early) and then the dissatisfied crowd actually jumped him and started beating him and his entourage up.
Bear in mind, this was at a marriage ceremony meant to focus on the celebration of love.
The wrong kind of ‘beat’
The video of the DJ beaten, taken by a CCTV camera, shows how a few men pounced on the unsuspecting DJ and then started beating him up, even going as far as breaking the lights and sound system that was on the dance floor.
The thing is that the DJ was only trying to comply with the rules surrounding the sound restrictions.
As per the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board guidelines, the use of loudspeakers is prohibited between the hours of 10pm and 6am.
The state authority also has also mandated that all loudspeakers be fitted with a “sound limiter” to control the noise level of said loudspeakers as per the prescribed ambient noise standards scribed in Noise Pollution Rules.
