Die Antwoord aren’t splitting up
It has previously been reported that Die Antwoord are breaking up. But Yolandi Visser took to instagram to clear up the confusion.
A reporter from Exclaim! known as Daryl Keating allegedly took Die Antwoord’s quotes and twisted them. According to the article, Die Antwoord suggested that they would be breaking up after the release of their fifth album next year.
While the album scheduled for release next year will be the duo’s fifth and final one, it appears that they won’t dissolve their act.

No chill pill here
Yolandi’s criticism of the interviewer is harsh (you wouldn’t expect her to be chill though) but it’s not that difficult to see that their answers were ambiguous. If anything, this kind of attention around whether they are breaking up their performance piece gets them a little more media coverage right before the release of their fourth album, ‘Mount Ninja and Da Nice Time Kid’ out on the 16th of September 2016. This is not too surprising, since these two know how to court the media and drum up attention in their favour. The idea of them breaking up, even if they aren’t, is sure to give rise to all kinds of emotions in the people who follow and adore them.
Die Antwoord fans can also look forward to a feature film about the group.

“DIE ANTWOORD IS NOT BREAKING UP.
The journalist “Daryl Keating” who wrote an article stating that we are breaking up totally twisted our words an took what we said completely out of context with his latest article.
This is a lie. An Daryl sucks.”
All we said was next year we will be working on our 5th final DA album & then continue to shoot a DA feature film.
DIE ANTWOORD FOR EVA”
