Debut Cara Frew EP – Come Close to Me released
The Cara Frew EP ‘Come Close to Me’ will be released on the 22nd of April 2016 via iTunes. The release will feature tracks titled Dive, Closer, Skin Deep, and Weightless and is the singers debut EP.
We recently spoke to Cara Frew about her career as a singer. She spoke about her hustle and drive, and also her other talents which include being a show jumper, model, singer, songwriter, and artist.
This Cara Frew EP, Come Close to Me EP was worked on with producer, Daniel Heath while she was in Los Angeles. Daniel Heath’s resume includes soundtracks for Maleficent and 50 Shades of Grey. He also worked on Blue Jeans and Young and Beautiful for Lana Del Rey.
All four of the tracks on the Cara Frew EP were co-written with Stefan Skarbek, who used to work closely with the benchmark artist Amy Winehouse until her passing.
Cara Frew has incorporated her signature slow, atmospheric sound into the Come Closer EP which is said to be her most personal. The tracks have a strong Lana Del Ray influence along with electronic elements and deep grooves.
Come Closer “features darkly shaded synths that cascade into lush walls of sound and her clean vocals resonate a bruised beauty”.
She has already released the music video for Dive and you can check that out here:
