Dashcam footage leads to drug dealer’s arrest
A drug dealer’s arrest was made possible thanks to his own dashcam footage.
What an awkward turn of events!
45-year-old Scott Curtis was busted and jailed for dealing drugs because of incriminating footage found on his very own dashcam.
You see, last September Curtis threw small bags of cocaine and heroin out of his car window after police pulled him over.
Officers then searched his home and found cannabis plants after which they found his dashcam footage.
During all this time the suspect claimed “personal use” but hours of his own dashcam footage painted a different story; one which would seal his fate and land him a two years and six month jail sentence for possession of cocaine and heroin with intent to sell as well as producing cannabis.
Definitely not Scott free, mate
In one scene Curtis can be seen polishing his car before jumping inside to answer his phone saying: “I don’t do Valium, gear I do,” and negotiates to the price of “three for 25” before saying he “will be there in 10 minutes.”
DC Steve Woolley from South Wales police said: “Scott tried his best to get away with his crimes. He threw drugs from his vehicle and then claimed that it was all for own personal use.
“But when we played back his own dashcam footage, I don’t think he could quite believe it himself.
“Initially he replied no comment each time he was given the chance to explain what was going on, but so good was the case against him, he pleaded guilty to all charges and will spend a considerable time behind bars.”
Thanks to THE footage a drug dealer’s arrest could be made.
