Dance Music Awards SA 2018 nominations are a go
Nominate your favourite beat makers for the Dance Music Awards SA 2018.
DMASA is on the go, giving you the power to nominate up to 5 purveyors of dance music in SA.
The awards, in their second year running, aims to acknowledge and honour the accomplishments and contributions of dance music artists in SA.
The categories will mainly stay the same for this year’s awards, with the edition of the Best Gqom Record of the Year- a no-brainer!
DMASA is based entirely online as an audience-voted award event dedicated to dance music in SA.
AT the moment you can go onto the official website and vote for artists you would like to see in the categories. All you need to do is sign up and you will be able to submit up to 5 nominations.
By the people
Users will then be able to vote for the winners as well, with the awards ceremony also held online, where winners of each category will be announced.
This not only gives fans a chance to interact with their favourite artists/DJs, it also helps these artists gain recognition and prestige throughout a wider fan base and audience,
The winners will be invited to a private honorary dinner in September where they can collect their physical awards.
“With the evolution of dance music in Southern Africa being so massive, this platform got to honour the fan favourites,” says DMASA creator Ricardo da Costa.
Categories for the awards includes:
Best Male DJ, Best Female DJ, Best Producer, Best Live Act, Best Festival, Best Music Video, Best Male Vocalist of the Year, Best Female Vocalist of the Year, Best Record Label, Best Night Club of the Year and more.
