Culoe de Song to join fellow DJs at LETPC panel discussion
Producers and DJs will join in a LETPC panel discussion.
From 17-19 May, 2018 the Live Event Technical and production Conference (LETPC) will be taking place at the Sunnyside Park Hotel in Johannesburg.
The conference was initiated by the South African Roadies Association (SARA) 4 years ago and seeks to address needs in the event technical and production sectors- specifically how to upgrade qualifications in order to be on par internationally.
The LETPC is a space where a range of relevant stakeholders in education, event, technical and production sectors can gather and “engage on sector training, skill interventions and skill development, specifically speaking to the upgrading NQF standards and the alignment of such with international standards and the way forward,” as is seen on their website.
Inaugural DJ and producers’ discussion
In an exciting new development, the LETPC will now welcome its inaugural DJ and Producers’ discussion.
The eclectic panel includes SAMA award winner Culoe de Song, founder of Will of Steel Production DJ Cleo, DJ Euphonik, and DJ Shimza.
The panel will discuss the challenges affecting DJs and producers operating in the live and technical production sector, and hopefully how to overcome them.
”A successful live music and performing arts industry rides on the back of the technical and production industry,” SARA president Freddie Nyathela said.
“Without trained and experienced technical operators, no performing arts show can achieve its full potential.”
“It has become one of the foremost platforms for international live event technical and production professionals to meet, network and discuss critical issues that are affecting the sector,” the LETPC organisers said.
