CTEMF Connect – Calling aspiring electronic music producers
Apply for the CTEMF Connect Programme and make your dreams come true.
‘Connect’ was established to assist in identifying talented individuals that don’t have the resources to fulfill their potential of making a career in the electronic music industry.
The successfully selected Connect applicants will embark on a journey of discovery, education and unique experiences, whilst receiving a comprehensive grounding in all aspects of music production, business and performance.
The culmination of this year’s programme will be an EP in partnership with Universal Music South Africa, music streaming app JOOX and Red Bull Music.
The most promising candidates will have the opportunity to perform at the Cape Town Electronic Music Festival, alongside artists at the forefront of making waves in the electronic music scene.
CTEMF Connect with JOOX
“We’re excited to once again be a part of this year’s CTEMF Connect. It’s a programme that is completely unique, in that it comes back full circle.” says Chief Operating Officer for JOOX, Milton Smith.
“Producers with great potential are discovered, their talents moulded and they are given the stage at the next CTEMF event. We support this programme as it has the potential to launch careers and drive new talent into the music industry.”
2018’s graduates of the Connect Programme, Ubiza Wethu, Siphe Tebeka and Pierre Johnson, have since gone on to release the Connect EP, release their own albums, performing at CTEMF 2019 and traveling the world playing at different festivals.
