Comedown-free MDMA is possible says research
Not only is comedown-free MDMA possible, it can even give you an “afterglow.”
The comedown.
How can something that makes you feel so good make you feel like a depressed gremlin a few days later?
Well, nothing is for free and suffering through a comedown is one’s penitence for a night (or a few) of literal and figurative ecstasy.
But research is showing that this doesn’t have to be the case.
You can have your cake and eat it too.
According to Bristol-based Addictions Psychiatrist, MDMA Psychotherapist and Psychedelic Researcher Dr Ben Sessa, the repercussions of clinical MDMA tell a different story from the comedown-laden one we know.
A classic comedown is “an artefact of sleep loss, excessive exercise and concomitant drug use,” says Dr Sessa however with clinical MDMA use, users are left with an “afterglow.”
An MDMA-afterglow
So, how can one get in on this MDMA-afterglow action?
Unsurprisingly, the methods are obvious:
Take good quality MDMA in CONTROLLED DOSES and get proper sleep. I.e. don’t take 5 pills you got from some guy selling “the best shit” at a club and stay up for 52 hours- you will not experience any form of afterglow.
Dr Sessa is in no way encouraging drug use, however for those already doing it and for those wanting to do it rather know how to do so safely.
Blue Monday? Suicide Wednesday? Or whatever ravers are calling it these days…
We don’t see this with clinical MDMA. No post-dosing mood drop in the 7-days after medical MDMA.
It’s an artefact of sleep loss, excessive exercise and concomitant drug use

Best dosing recreationally:
T=0: 125mg
T+2 hours: 60mg
T+4 hours: 30mg
T+6 hours: 15mg
T+8 hours: get cab homeGives optimal positive mood effects & also safer; with reduced temp & BP risks.
People who understand MDMA know:
a) Never start >125mg
b) Halve dose every 2 hours— Dr Ben Sessa MD (@DrSessa) September 22, 2019
MDMA-assisted psychotherapy is an area of research rapidly evolving, with major benefits to be gained.
Understanding MDMA and using it respectfully can not only lead to being comedown-free, it can actually leave you with an “afterglow.”
So, in a nutshell, comedown-free MDMA usage can be achieved by using not abusing…
