Castle Lite presents hip-hop Herstory, an all-female concert
Castle Lite presents hip-hop Herstory the first all-female hip-hop concert in South Africa.
History is in the making with the #HipHopHerstory all-female hip-hop concert taking place at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand on September 8.
The world is ever-changing as the voices of the oppressed are growing louder, demanding equality and better representation in movies, TV, advertising corporate and all facets of life.
In a culture like hip-hop that has always spoken out against social injustices, oppression and inequality, it is odd that it hasn’t extended to the female powerhouses that have contributed immensely to the genre.
But Castle Lite is on a mission to set this right by hosting the first ever all-female hip-hop line up in Africa- welcome to Herstory.
