Burning Man all year round on a ranch

Burning Man all year round will now become a reality, completely transforming the traditional set up of the festival that everyone clamours to get tickets to.

The radical self reliance, unhinged lifestyle, no money community is taking the next step to becoming a reality that surpasses a few wild days in the desert.

Burning Man purchased a $6 million ranch that is three thousand and eight hundred acres in North Western Nevada. The money was raised by specific donors especially for the purchase. Their goal is to create a permanent settlement and live out all of the scenes from so many post-apocalyptic movies that have come before.

In theory it sounds amazing and to see it come to fruition will be fascinating. Burning Man all year round is history in the making, quite possibly the start of a new human cultural shift that will lead us into a future of creative thinking that leads the way to creative living.

The non-profit organisation that organises Burning Man has not yet released solid plans for the land known as Fly Ranch. Black Rock City is where the annual Burning Man festival takes places and is much bigger than Fly Ranch.

According to a statement…

“Fly Ranch is a much smaller space [than Black Rock City], but with potential year-round access, it offers the gift of time. Eventually we’ll be able to create more opportunities spread out throughout the year.”

The first Burning Man event happened back in 1986. The festival took place over the course of a week and has done so every year since.

The temporary community has grown to the tens of thousands and has been an inspiration for all those who have attended. The new world concept and its message has in that time spread to the rest of the globe. In South Africa we even have our affiliate event known as Afrika Burn.

Burning Man is a hot spot for all those who work and run companies in Silicon Valley and it is also well known for being elitist. Tech billionaire royalty such as Elon Musk, Sergey Brin, and Jeff Bezos have all attended.
