Bose Frames: Sunglasses that play music and answer phone calls
Bose Frames stylishly marry sight and sound.
Bose has created a new way for people to take sound wherever they go, marrying two of our favourite senses- sight and sound- to bring you audio sunglasses.
The sunglasses, which allows wearers to listen to music and answer phone calls, comes in two styles (for now) namely the Bose Frames Rondo and the Bose Frames Alto and retails for $199.99.
Wholeheartedly focused on sun and sound, Bose’s audio sunglasses deliver open-ear audio, UVA/UVB protection, has an integrated microphone, is Bluetooth and Bose AR enabled and is made of ultramodern materials.
If you’re concerned about sound bleeding, think again. Bose proclaims that whoever wears the sunglasses will hear “rich, immersive sound, while others hear practically nothing.”
This is possible through the narrow direction of the sunglasses, which allows sound to be channeled from the custom-built Bose speakers to the wearer’s ears and away from others.
It also has motion sensors embedded inside the frames which detects the user’s head orientation and body movement, helping guide the flow of sound.
