Boom Festival 2018 – 4 SA artists on lineup
The full Boom Festival 2018 lineup has been revealed and we are happy to note that there are four South African artists who will be performing at this year’s festival.
Boom festival tickets for 2018 sold out online in three hours and 30 minutes!
Launched in 1997, the Boom Festival takes place in Idanha-a-Nova, Portugal and from humble beginnings this biennial event is now considered the pinnacle celebration in alternate living combining psychedelic music, a broad variety of visual art exhibits, plenty of workshops, film screenings, meditations, yoga classes and more.
Away from the music, which stretches across three dancefloors, the Boom festival’s BIG focus is sustainable living.
Four South African DJ/Producers will perform at Boom Festival 2018.
Regan
Regan is by no means a stranger to BOOM and has performed there before. The Nano records boss has a long working relationship with the Boom crew and this year he will perform a mega 3-hour set at the Dance Temple (main stage).
Having relocated to the UK recently, Regan released one of last year’s top psytrance compilations called Keep It Psychedelic which includes several collaborations of his own. This year he will perform on the ambient floor too, as ‘Aaah Yeah’ with Nano label mate, Dickster.

Dave Mac

Dave started DJing the same year Boom was launched – 2007. As one of Cape Town’s longest-serving trance DJs – and in fact a part of a select few DJs from the 90’s who is still very active, Boom festival 2018 will be his first appearance at the event. He will perform a 2.5 hr set at the Dance Temple.

Headroom
Dubbed Cape Town’s ‘Sunday Funday’ specialist, Headroom – also from Nano records – will perform at Boom Festival 2018 for the first time and he has a 1.5 hr live set at the Dance Temple.
Adam will be showcasing his brand-new album at Boom which is due out soon. It’s hard to believe that this will be his first appearance, having released some real bombs over the years.
Sadhu Sensi
Sadhu Sensi released his 2018 album, Mystic Sun, on international label, Iboga Records. A heady mix of ambient electronica and trippy, downbeat techno, Andrew Winer, aka Sadhu Sensi is a consummate musician with a growing discography of fine releases.
Andrew will perform at the Chill Out Gardens floor alongside some of the globe’s finest downbeat artists.
Boom Festival 2018 takes place from 22 – 29 July and approximately 30,000 + people are expected to attend.
